Rafael Heredia Cuevas. Torre del Mar (Málaga), 1949. Creative and nonconformist from an early age and with an obsessive critical perception. He looks for simple forms of expression where logic and discipline prevail, which are always above his creativity.
From his pilgrimage through the different cultures, he brings the particular work of the Mediterranean for this sample. Heredia is inspired by the civilizations that have given rise to the richest and most complex cultures on earth; an immersion in the mythology and legends of this sea that forms a kind of coliseum.
His work and his own vision, which he transmits through the different arts, have been measured, allied and mixed with the greatness of the peoples who have bathed our shores with their ancient wisdom.
Rafael Heredia, floods the space with volume, synthesizes gesture in the features and magnifies it in mythology, bifurcating the sexes, bending the impossible extension towards an enveloping aesthetic purpose that modulates, layer by layer, the drama and tenderness, human and bestiality, the vertigo in the balance of forms.
