Alfajar: Lume

Lume is our particular tribute to our roots in Galicia.

Our story begins in the mid-70s in Seville, when José Ángel Ruiz, a Fine Arts student from Ourense, and Lola Díaz, a Sevillian woman who was studying Arts and Crafts while working as a naval draftsman, met.

José Ángel dedicated himself to Education, passed the examinations for Secondary School teacher and after a few years in Galicia, he asked to be transferred to Malaga in 1984. Upon arriving in Malaga, Lola, his wife, validated her studies to finish Arts and Crafts in the specialty of ceramics and set up a small workshop.

Almost thirty years later, Alfajar continues to grow, with two daughters who join the family project, making Alfajar an innovative company that combines tradition and modernity.

And on this path linked to art and creation, we make this stop and pay homage to the roots of the north that settle in the south, creating Alfajar’s own style.
