From June 30 to August 14 you can visit the new exhibition in Sala Alfajar. Colorful watercolors and acrylics take shape by the brush of Antonio San Martín.

Antonio San Martín discovers his most intimate and personal works in the Alfajar Room. The exhibition will be open from June 30 to August 14, next to the Cathedral, at C/ Císter, 1, door 2, Málaga.

Antonio San Martín’s watercolors are not totally abstract, but they are not figurative either, in a search for the visitor to discover what each painting transmits to them or what they see in them. Thus, the exhibition is a different experience for each one, but always full of color and life, signs that have been constant in Antonio’s work.

According to the artist, art can serve as an antidote and calm internal conflicts and he has always been faithful to his philosophy of celebrating life through color and textures. In this special exhibition he shows more intimate works, in medium and small format, that he normally keeps to himself.

Antonio San Martín is a Spanish painter and designer, born in Cádiz in 1956. In 1975, he moved to Seville where he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts (University of Seville) and at the School of Applied Arts. In 1980, he obtained the El Paular landscape scholarship granted by the Ministry of Culture. Since 1983, he has lived in Ceuta where he combines painting and graphic design with his teaching work, as Professor of Plastic Expression Didactics at the Faculty of Education, Economics and Technology of Ceuta (University of Granada). He has had numerous individual and collective exhibitions.
