From October 3rd to November 28th, you can visit the new exhibition at the Sala Alfajar. Painting, paper, and mixed media from the hands of a master.
The Sala Alfajar presents Diazdel’s new works. The exhibition will be open from October 3rd to November 28th, next to the Cathedral, at C/ Císter, 1, door 2, Málaga.

José Antonio Diazdel’s work is highly personal and therefore highly recognizable, but this apparent continuous line is often broken by novel contributions along alternative paths. Nevertheless, we continue to recognize it because it seeks to leave traces that guide us through the unknown and allow us to retrace the main path.
Pierre Alibert

His style is simple, foregrounded and without perspective, sometimes with a sense of being unfinished, but with a richness and composition of colors that captures the observer’s eye. Influences from other artistic movements such as Eastern, Romanesque, Italian, Spanish, and other styles can be seen in his painting, but with his personal and unique style that makes him so recognizable. For this exhibition, he uses a mixed media on canvas, with touches of gold, thread, fabric and paper, perfectly integrated with the painting, creating scenes where the figures coexist with the natural background. His work also has an abstract component that encourages viewers to complete it or add details themselves.

José Antonio Diazdel is an established artist from Malaga, living in Benalmádena, who has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and around the world. He creates paintings, engravings, sculptures, and works on paper, often in mixed media. He is known for his characteristic pale, imperfect figures, accompanied by animals or bright backgrounds, in etchings and drypoint prints.
