\nDon Quixote, a classic:<\/span><\/h4>\n

“In a place in La Mancha, whose name I don’t want to remember, not long ago lived a hidalgo of those with a lance in a shipyard, an old shield, a skinny nag and a running greyhound.”<\/span><\/h3>\n

Countless times we have heard the beginning of this great work where we are introduced to this knight. From Alfajar we pay tribute to the character of Don Quixote who has always been attributed the characteristics of being a dreamer, idealist and naive man. In his adventures in La Mancha, the ingenious hidalgo represents the struggle and sacrifice in the triumph of rights and virtues. With his own self-confidence and his vital impetus, he ventures through the different paths of life to restore a time of justice and freedom.<\/p>\n

The Alfajar imaginary of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures together with the pure abstraction of lines and colors adapt perfectly to the different shapes and sizes. We can find from the mythical bulls, to the classic plates, bottles or jewelery boxes. An infinity of shapes that will fill your home with warmth. All these pieces are made 100% by hand in Malaga, Spain.<\/p>\n

After 30 years of experience, we can assure that the objective of Alfajar is to express the inner relationship of each person with the world, and therefore, with the nature around them. In this case through sculpture, transferring that relationship with the world to a round shape and with the wide range of bottles and vases we have.<\/p>\n

The shapes are inspired by traditional vases from the different cultures that once populated the Mediterranean: Etruscan, Iberian, Mycenaean, Muslim, Greek and Roman, although treated with a coherence of style that implies geometrically stylized silhouettes and a simplification of volumes and structures.<\/p>\n

Cubism and expressionism also play a very important role in our work.
